Haydee Vicedo
Ever since she heard one of Jobim's albums, Haydee knew that her love for Latin music would not be a passing phase. Philippine-born Haydee is new to the Latin Beat family, contributing the monthly "In Progress" series, which highlights up and coming women in the Latin music industry.

Haydee graduated from California's Loyola Marymount University, with a B.S. in Business Marketing. A self-described entrepreneur at heart, she started a small clothing line during her first year of college. She continued the line until a year and a half ago, opting to take a break to pursue her interest in the non-profit world, accepting a one-year position as assistant director at a youth entrepreneurial program in the Crenshaw district of Los Angeles. Haydee enjoys interviewing her subjects for "In Progress," stating that "each and every woman I've talked to has been nothing less than inspiring to me and hopefully to our readers as well".

Enjoying her new line of work in the publishing arena, she hopes to garner even more writing assignments, while continuously keeping an eye out for another small business venture that challenges her.
